MediRox holds a scientific conference in Vilnius, Lithuania
MediRox together with the local distributors in Lithuania held a scientific event/conference which was dedicated to the World’s Thrombosis Day, which is on October 13th every year. The conference under the name “What Clinicians Should Know and What the Laboratory Should Do” was an exclusive event for laboratory specialists and clinicians and was held in Vilnius.
“-We have received a huge interest in this and we had over 260 people registered participating at the event while we expected up to 200″ – it has surpassed our expectations” – says Vlada Dapkute, Area Manager Eastern Europe, who was responsible for the whole concept of the event in close collaboration with the local distributors in Lithuania. MediRox has delegated a lecturer from Sweden, Linköping University, professor Tomas L. Lindahl, Professor in Clinical Chemistry at Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine at Linköping University. MD and senior consultant, Clinical Chemistry, Linköping University Hospital. Professor held a lecture under the name of “All You Need to Know About Prothrombin Time”. It was greatly successful.
Local specialists, including Dr. Valdas Banys (Vilnius University Hospital Santariskes Clinic), prof. Virginijus Sapoka (Santariskes Clinic), Dr. Sonata Saulyte Trakymiene (Vilnius University Children’s Hospital), prof Kestutis Rimaitis (The Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences – LSMU), Dr. Robertas Samalavicius (Santariskes), Prof Skaidrius Miliauskas (LSMU), Prof Virginijus Sapoka (Santariskes) and others have also contributed to the event with their lectures.
